Professors:::Gail Rubini+Scott Groeniger+Conrad Gleber

The course includes lectures, field trips, critiques and classroom conversation. The classroom activities and exercises will help you analyze what goes into the conceptual development of design— with concentrating on the why?. Creativity and expression are the main focus of the class and you are expected to develop and explore a personal style of design. The projects will emphasize the formal and compositional issues as well as more abstract methodologies that consider the larger genre of how we interpret the abstract notations that direct and effect our everyday existence. There will be several projects given during the class. These smaller projects will lead to the completion of a large capstone type project that will reflect on your experience in London. You will be thinking, seeing and doing design 4 days a week.
